- 太字 = 単語の強勢がある音節。少し強く。
- 上線 = 長母音（マッド）。2拍ほど伸ばす。朗誦でいちばん大切な長さ。
- 小さい字 = アラビア語に母音がない所。子音だけを短く。
- 小さなラテン文字 = 韓国語にない音。次の音節に付く。f 上の歯で下唇に触れる · θ/ð 舌先を歯の間に · r 舌先を震わせる（ㄹ だけなら l）。
発音表記の見方

- 太く大きい字(ˈ) = 強く、少し長く。単語でいちばん強い音節。
- 薄い字 = 弱く・短く(あいまい母音)。全部の音節を同じ強さで読まないこと。
- 小さい 으・트・스 = ほとんど発音しない。英語にない母音なので、子音だけで止める。
- 単語全体が薄い(the・of・and・to…) = 文の中では弱く速く。名詞・動詞など内容語を強く。
- 小さい f v θ ð r = 韓国語にない音。f 上の歯を下唇に当てる、v 同じ形で声を出す、θ・ð 舌先を歯の間に、r 舌を丸めてどこにも触れない。

この章について
メディナ期に啓示されたスーラに分類され、啓典の民と多神教徒のうちの不信仰者たちは、明証が彼らに来るまで自分たちのあり方を捨てようとしなかった、と述べて始まります。その明証とは、正しい記述を収めた清められた書巻を読誦する、神からの使徒であると示されます。スーラはさらに、啓典を与えられた者たちが分裂したのは明証が彼らに届いた後のことにほかならないと付け加えます。しかも彼らが命じられていたのは、ただ誠実でひたむきな信仰をもって神を崇め、礼拝を守り、喜捨をすることだけであり、それは「正しい宗教」と呼ばれています。最後に二つの結末が並べて示されます。信仰を拒む者は地獄の火の中に永遠にとどまり、被造物の中で最悪の者と呼ばれます。一方、信仰して善行を行う者は被造物の中で最良の者と呼ばれ、エデンの楽園に永遠に住みます。神は彼らに満足され、彼らも神に満足します。

名前の由来 第1節と第4節にある「明証」(al-Bayyinah)にちなんで名付けられています。第2節はこれを神からの使徒であると説明しています。

Those who disbelieved among the People of the Book and the idolaters were not going to desist until there came to them clear evidence:

a messenger from God, reciting purified scriptures,

in which are upright writings.

And those who were given the Book did not become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence.

And they were not commanded except to worship God, devoting the religion sincerely to Him, upright in faith, and to establish the prayer and to give the alms. And that is the upright religion.

Truly, those among the People of the Book and the idolaters who disbelieve will be in the Fire of Hell, remaining in it forever; they are the most wicked of all creation.

Indeed those who believe and do righteous deeds — they are the best of creatures.

Their reward with their Lord will be Gardens of Eden beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for whoever fears his Lord.
